Ok so Dad helped a little too.... this was for an church "daddy/Daughter"
thing..we had to do some project together so I let her pic out what we
would inlay, what materials went where, she did some sanding, applied
some wax, posed for some shots "cutting" and all around we had a good
time. And the sour watermelon candy was a bonus too!

thanks Bob. And you actually contributed too! The bill of the duck is
from the quilted sapele I got from you last year! And yes.. me without a
hat is strange, but me without a hat AND bedhead is even worse! Oh
well.. :)

Excellent, Dad! These are the times that you`ll both look back to in future years. You`ve made memories that a little girl won`t forget.
BTW, is the sketch in the last pic the next project? Good luck! Well, she knows just what it is.

So cool John. My 3 year daugher would freek doing that. Also, she would want to do the whole thing herself.

Wow, isn't that early? Is everything alright? Or is it just a "we want this kid out" type thing?

So John, we have kids very close to the same age. My Son is now just 1 month (this friday).

Cool, I feel connected to you man. Rod True38763.7655208333

Yeah everything is fine. It is two weeks early, but the Doctor said the kid
is getting big..even though Jennifer has not gained a single pound this
pregnancy! (strict diet with gestational diabetes) We grow em big down
here!

Very cool John!! Congrats on the one in the oven, I will pray that things go well. As for the "child slave" thing. I tell my older ones that one of the words used for "child" in the Old Testament could have been translated "servant born"...he doesn't really see the humor in it, at least not the same way I do

Good Heavens!

With talent like that coming up, we old duffers may as well quit now!

She looks like she had a ball! I hope she keeps it up! I have a daughter who is at university studying what I have always loved doing. Just be prepared for the day she leaves you in the dust!

Regards, Steve

Way to go John!! My boys come out and "split wood" when I am processing billets. They have their own little hatchets that live with my axes, hammers and wedges. If I am not careful they have a good billet almost knawed in half in no time! . These really are quality times though, lots of questions and great insights through their little eyes.

The best to the three of you over the next while while #4 arrives! I am hoping great things for you guys.

Take care John

Shane

Thanks guys! The inlay would have been a little better presentation wise
as I would not have used as dark of woods if I was choosing, but it was
her call and she picked what she wanted!

It was a fun time, and I look forward to many more with her and my son!
I want em both to be luthiers!...but I'll be happy with whatever they
choose so long as it makes em happy, and it does not involve a shiny pole
